Traditional Chinese Music VS Modern Chinese Music There is a variety of music in China: folk music, pop music, rock-and-roll, etc. Also hip-hop is going to be popular. Compared with the modern music, the traditional music has fewer kinds, mainly including folk music. The instruments are very simple. Even though China has different kinds of folk music, the instruments are comparatively simple. Yet, the modern music needs more equipment and instruments. In addition to the traditional instruments, there are also a lot of musical instruments coming from other countries. And also there are more composers than ever before.
